The clues stand inside the grid itself, in the shaded cells. An arrow leaves each clue, points at the first letter of its answer and shows which way the answer runs — straight on, or around a corner where the arrow bends. One shaded cell can hold two clues, one above the other, each with its own arrow. Answers are written with the plain letters A to Z, so accents are dropped and German umlauts are spelled out — and the grid takes those plain letters only. Tap or click a crossing square a second time, or press the space bar, to switch between across and down; Tab or Enter jumps to the next unsolved answer, and Escape leaves the grid.
Keyboard: Tab or Enter jumps to the next unsolved word; Escape leaves the grid.
